All Those Who Thirst

He came to a city no one thought He should
To speak to a woman that no one else would

She came to drawl water in the heat of the day
Her life to be changed by the words he would say

All those who thirst let them come to the Lord, and drink of the water of life
The water is deep, the water wide,
The water will quench and it is pure
The water it flows, the water it drawls
The waters God's word and it is sure
All those who thirst let them come to the Lord, and drink of the water of life

He came to a city to start a new life
His heart had been broke by the loss of his wife

One day he was sitting alone in a pew
The words he would hear there would help him start new

All those who thirst let them come to the Lord, and drink of the water of life
The water is deep, the water wide,
The water will quench and it is pure
The water it flows, the water it drawls
The waters God's word and it is sure
All those who thirst let them come to the Lord, and drink of the water of life

So look on the fields, God's reaching for them
You hold the key that will bring them to Him

They're thirsty, they're looking, be salt share His love
The gift of salvation sent down from above

Take the water, there's a world that is lost
Take the water so they'll never thirst again
Take the water....
Take the water.....

All those who thirst let them come to the Lord, and drink of the water of life
The water is deep, the water wide,
The water will quench and it is pure
The water it flows, the water it drawls
The waters God's word and it is sure
All those who thirst let them come to the Lord, and drink of the water of life

  1. I wrote this poem right after the vision comfrance about rest. Dwaine had spoken about the Samaritan woman. I kept thinking about the passage and what he had said and ended up this this poem.
